OLD BRIDGE, New Jersey — April 1, 2014 — Blonder Tongue Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE MKT:BDR) announced today that on March 28, 2014, the Company received a blanket purchase order from a large national retail electronics chain for over $4,500,000 of the Company’s products, which will be used to upgrade more than 1000 stores around the country. During 2013, the Company was asked to propose a video distribution solution for this customer. Following months of discussion, the Company devised and proposed a solution that addresses both current and future requirements. Our customer has chosen a combination of Blonder Tongue products that will enable them to deliver real time live broadcast television for the big game or breaking news of the day, as well as customized content for vendor showrooms in the stores.

The Company entered into a master supply contract with this customer, in anticipation of receipt of purchase orders. In accordance with the master contract and the subsequent blanket purchase order, the resulting $4,500,000 sales are expected to occur during the second and third quarters, assuming the project remains on schedule and is fully implemented as planned.
